York U HEP Group

York University and the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo have recently forged a new partnership with their first joint hire, Dr. Matthew Johnson. The Perimeter Institute is one of the premier research centres for theoretical physics in the world, with focus in Cosmology & Gravitation, String Theory, Quantum Gravity, Quantum Foundations, Quantum Information, Particle Physics, and Condensed Matter. In addition to brining the new research areas of early universe cosmology and string theory to the HEP group at York, this new partnership will provide opportunities for new regional collaborations on seminars, long term visitors, and advanced courses.
